CHAPTER 23

(Excited na pumasok si Sam sa loob ng bahay. It’s time for him to tell Devon his feelings! Ang totoo wala naman talaga silang meeting. He dropped by the flower shop para personal na bumili ng bulaklak for Devon. He keeps on smiling habang patuloy siya sa paglalakad sa loob ng bahay)
SAM: Devz where are you?
(wala siyang narinig na tugon buhat kay Devon. He went to the kitchen at nakita niyang may luto na. Napangiti siya sa nakita. He called Devon’s name again ngunit walang sumagot sa kanya. He went to their room pero wala siyang nakita. He dialed her number and nobody answered his call. Lumabas siya ng kwarto at bumalik sa living room habang hawak pa rin ang bulaklak na ibibigay niya kay Devon. He called her phone again, he heard the ring. The ring was jut nearby him. Nang tingnan niya ang couch ay nandoon ang phone ni Devon. He picked up the phone at nakita niya ang isang envelope. He was curious kaya agad niya itong binuksan,only to be surprised sa kanyang nakita. It’s him and Yen when they kissed in the hotel Lobby in Japan. Nabitawan niya ang dalang bulaklak sabay hagis ng picture)
SAM: Damn it!!

(Ilang minuto na nakaupo si Sam, hindi niya alam kung ano ang gagawin. He doesn’t know where to find Devon. He called the President pero ang secretary nito ang sumagot dahil may ginagawa ito. He called Devon’s Mom but out of reached ang phone nito. He didn’t call her Lola at baka mag-alala ang matanda. He called Fretzie and Chikara but the two didn’t take his calls. He decided to call Aaron at parang nadisturbo pa yata niya ito)
AARON: Brawwhhh naman! wrong-timing ka!
SAM: I need your help.
AARON: Please.. I wanna spend time with Linn..ok? just ask Robi.
SAM: This has something to do with what happened in Japan.
AARON: What about Japan?
SAM: Remember, you caught me and Yen…you know…
AARON: Yeah! What about it?
SAM: Somebody took picture of it and gave to Devon.
AARON: What?!!!!
SAM: I don’t know, who did this bro. All I know is I can’t find Devon right now and I’m so worried about her.
AARON: Calm down..ok. Maybe she’s out somewhere… you know..thinking.
SAM: I don’t want her to be mad at me.
AARON: Find her and explain everything.
SAM: But I don’t know where she is…
AARON: Just wait…she’ll be back to you.
SAM: But?
AARON: She’s not there because she needs time to think.
SAM: This is my fault.
AARON: Don’t blame yourself Brawwhh. Devon will be back. Ok?
SAM: Sana nga.

(Devon doesn’t know where to go and what to do. Nasaktan siya sa nakitang photos. She knew it was taken in Japan when Sam went there with some models for the fashion show. She keeps on asking herself if Sam is also cheating her like what James did. She doesn’t want to know the truth dahil ayaw na ulit niya masaktan. Nasa loob lang siya ng kanyang kotse at litung-lito. She needs time to think clearly hanggang naisip niya na kausapin si Yen. She called Robi and asked Yen’s house. Pagkatapos makuha ang address ni Yen ay agad niya itong pinuntahan. Pagkarating sa bahay nito ay agad siyang pinapasok ng katulong at naghintay siya ng ilang minuto bago ito lumabas. Mukhang nagulat ito pagkakita sa kanya)
YEN: I didn’t expect to see you here. (sabay upo)
DEVON: We need to talk.
YEN: About what?
DEVON: About you and Sam.
YEN: Devz I already begged you once kung gusto mo gawin ko ulit yun para pakawalan mo si Sam ay gagawin ko.
DEVON: I know this whole thing is my entire fault. You two broke up because of me. I ruined everything!!!
YEN: Devz?!
DEVON: I know what happened in Japan…
YEN: What do you mean?
DEVON: You did make out in Japan.
YEN: Devz?...
DEVON: You know what?! I feel cheated…but I guess I don’t have the right to feel this way. Sam was never been mine. (hindi na niya mapigilang mapaiyak) I love him and it hurts knowing that he doesn’t feel the same way too.
YEN: Pumunta ka ba dito para makonsensiya ako?
DEVON: No…I came here to tell you that I need him and despite what I’ve discovered, I’m not gonna let him go.
YEN: But?!...
DEVON: I need to go. (tumayo na siya ngunit bago pa man siya nakalabas ng pinto ay nagsalita si Yen)
YEN: He’ll come back to me Devz…
(Huminto sandali si Devon at tuluyan ng umalis. She decided to go back home. Pagpasok palang ng kanyang kotse ay natanaw na niya agad si Sam na naghihintay sa kanya. Nagmamadali itong lumapit sa kanya at)
SAM: I’m so worried….
DEVON: You have nothing to worry. (nilampasan niya ito pero nagulat naman siya ng bigla siya nitong yakapin buhat sa likod)
SAM: I know you saw the photos. I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to do it.
DEVON: Sam inaantok na ako…
SAM: I felt so guilty about it Devz…
DEVON: Guilty??! Kaya hindi mo sinasagot ang tawag ko dahil nag-eenjoy kang kasama si Yen.(kinalas niya ang pagkakayap ni Sam sa kanya at hinarap ito)
SAM: Believe me. I felt terribly guilty about it.
DEVON: Kaya ba pag-uwi mo ay niyaya mo akong magbakasyon para mabawasan ang guilt mo?!
SAM: No! I asked you to go on a vacation because I wanna spend my birthday with you.
DEVON: Sam if you wanna cheat me..please make it discreet.
SAM: I didn’t cheat you Devz. We kissed and we almost…
DEVON: So what do you call it? A married man kissing another woman, Isn’t it cheating?
SAM: That was before I realized my feelings for you.
(hinawakan niya ang balikat ni Devon) Devz, I love you.
DEVON: I don’t know Sam… I don’t know…(yumuko siya)
SAM: Look at me…(itinaas ni Sam ang kanyang mukha)
I do love you. (napaiyak si Devon at niyakap siya ni Sam) Shhh… stop crying…please…because I don’t know what to do everytime I see you crying.
DEVON: Sam?
SAM: You..your tears..they are my weakness.
DEVON: I’m sorry…I’m just hurt sa nakita ko.
SAM: Let’s leave the past behind. What matters to me now is you and our baby. (hinaplos nito ang kanyang tiyan. She smiled and hugged Sam. Now she has nothing to worry lalo pang narinig na niya na sinabi ni Sam na mahal siya nito.)
