Second Option (Chapter 37)

CHAPTER 37

(Naging successful ang eye operation ni Enrique, samantalang dumating na ang parents ni Kazel at nagising na rin ito sa 48 hours na binigay ng Doctor)
KAZEL: Nasaan ako?... (tumingin ito sa kanila at sa mga magulang nito)
KAZEL’S MOM: Kazel nasa ospital ka at naaksident kayo ng mga kaibigan mo
KAZEL: Sino kayo?! (tumingin ito sa kanila)
HEIDI: Kazel huwag kang magbiro ng ganyan.
KAZEL’S MOM: Mga kaibigan mo sila…
KAZEL: Hindi ko sila kilala
(Tumawag ang Dad ni Kazel ng doctor and it was found out that she is having retrograde amnesia. Nalimutan nito ang kasalukuyang nangyari but she’s able to recall nung childhood memories.. They just met in the University kaya hindi sila nito maalala. Sabi nang doctor makakarecover naman daw si Kazel but yun nga lang she needs to be expose to the environment na may mahalaga syang experiences, simple telling information won’t help her. Naging panatag na rin ang loob nila kahit papano at least nabuhay si Kazel.)

(Habang hinihintay ni Sam na magising si Devon ay lumapit si Justin sa kanya)
JUSTIN: I planned to revenge Sam through your weakness at nang nalaman ko na hindi si Devon yun, ,mas lalo akong naging pursigido… but I guess si Devon talaga ang weakness mo. Alam mo ba kung si Devon ang weakness mo hindi ko kayang maghiganti using her? (nagulat si Sam sa sinabi ni Justin)
SAM: What do you mean?
JUSTIN: When I saw you at the beach with another girl and upon looking at Devon’s eyes hurting, I came to realize that using her isn’t that good. She’s always been nice to me Sam at hinding –hindi ko magagawa na gamitin sya para makaganti sayo.
SAM: I was too possessive when it comes to Devon, I don’t want any other guy to be closer to her. When I found out that you were closer to her, I told the member of the Gang to beat you.
JUSTIN: I indeed like her but I never had the chance to confess my feelings because I knew that she likes you. And using the girl I like to seek for revenge is the least thing I could do. I could have revenged but not through Devon. You better take care of her Sam and don’t ever hurt her again or else I gonna revenge for real.
SAM: Thanks for the help Justin.
JUSTIN: Don’t mention it..ginagawa ko ito for Devon. I better go. Just take care of her.
(lumabas na si Justin ng pintuan at tiningnan nya si Devon. Justin is right, Devon has always been good to anybody. She’s the girl he loves for a long time pero matagal bago nya naamin dito ang naramdaman. Kung alam lang nya na hindi kayang maghiganti ni Justin using Devon ay hindi sana nya ito sinaktan. Hindi sana ito naaksidente and they could have been married dahil sinadya naman talaga nya na mabuntis ito dahil sa hindi pagpayag sa alok nyang kasal. He touched her face and the curve of her lips. He misses kissing her kaya dinampian nya ang labi nito ng banayad na halik and touched her face again)
SAM: I love you and sorry for losing our child.
(nakita nyang unti-unting gumalaw si Devon,nagmulat ito ng mata at tumingin sa kanya)
DEVON: Sam what happen? (mahina nitong sabi)
SAM: Naaksidente kayo nina Enrique at Kazel
(naalala ni Devon ang nangyari. Sinabihan sila ni Enrique na magfasten ng seatbelt nawalan ng preno ang sasakyan at in an instant ay sumalpok sila sa malaking truck pero bago pa man yun nangyari, Enrique managed to hug her at tumama ang mukha nito sa salamin ng kotse at tuluyan nagdilim ang kanyang paningin)
DEVON: Are they Ok? Si Enrique? Si Kazel?
SAM: Enrique had an eye operation dahil sa bubog ng salamin na pumasok sa kanyang mga mata but it was successful kaya ligtas na sya…for Kazel she is suffering from retrograde amnesia. (natutop ni Devon ang bibig at napaiyak)
DEVON: How about me? Ilang araw na ako dito?
SAM: You’ve been here for more than 48 hours. You had undergone blood transfusion.
DEVON: How about Mom and Dad alam na ba nila ang nangyari?
SAM: Mom called them pero na delay yung flight nila because of a snowstorm but they’ll be arriving tonight. (tumahimik si Devon sandali at tumingin sa kanya)
DEVON: How about our baby? (hindi makapagsalita si Sam, paano nya sasabihin kay Devon ang nangyri baka magwala ito sa galit at bumigay sa kalungkutan but he has no other choice but to tell her the truth. Tiningnan nya ito )
SAM: We’ve lost our baby.
(Sam silently uttered at sapat na iyon para maramdaman nya ang sakit. Her tears roll down her cheeks and she sobbed. She blamed herself for what had happened. sHe tried to abort their baby but she failed only to realize that she couldn’t do it. She met Sam before the accident, tried to run away from him, commanded Enrique to drive faster, he lost control and bumped into a truck. Her two close friends suffered from the accident. She could have blamed Sam too for his too coward and hurt her too much. Both of them should be blamed, she then looked at him coldly)
DEVON: I want to be alone Sam…
SAM: But Devz?
DEVON: Sam this is too much for me to handle.
SAM: I want to stay by your side Devz…
DEVON: I don’t want you to stand by me.
SAM: We’ve been through a lot of things and we could overcome this together.
DEVON: Yeah! We’ve been through a lot of things but you just threw it away.
SAM: I did it for a reason…
DEVON: No matter what your reason is the fact hurts me much.
SAM: I know naguguluhan ka lang sa ngayon Devon…mag-usap tayo ulit.
(tumayo na si Sam, tumingin ito sa kanya ngunit umiwas sya ng tingin dito. Nang makaalis si Sam ay humagulhol sya sa kaiiyak. She lost their first child at para na rin pinatay ang buo nyang pagkatao. Hindi nya aakalain na ganito pala kasakit ang lahat. Hindi nya nagawang iligtas sa kapahamakan ang sariling anak. Samantalang narinig naman ni Sam ang pag-iyak ni Devon sa loob ng kwarto, gusto nya itong balikan at yakapin pero hindi nya kayang gawin. Napasandal nalang sya sa pintuan, napaupo at napayuko, he couldn’t help but cried for the lost of their first child. Sobrang sakit ang kanyang naramdaman. Seeing and hearing Devon crying na wala syang magawa ay piniga ang puso nya ng husto. If he could only turn back time ay buhay pa sana ang anak nila, at hindi sila nasasaktan pareho. She can put the blame on him and he has nobody to blame but himself.)
